HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NICOLETTE!

I already had a roommate lined up* for my semester abroad, but for some reason I asked some stranger within the first two minutes of meeting her at one of the first pre-trip information sessions if she wanted to live us. I walked away thinking, well, that was the stupidest thing I’ve ever done! I was wrong, it was one of the best things I’ve ever done. Eight years, two roommate stints, and lots of milestones later, she is still one of my favorite people in the whole entire world.

Tonight Nicolette, Christina*, and I will celebrate with a fancypants dinner.
